Theological Formation as Edification
Around Paul’s Oikodomein
Abstract
This article reviews a programmatic study by Pierre Bonnard, the main instigator behind the Séminaire de culture théologique. Devoted to the New Testament concept of “edification,” this short text published at the beginning of his career reflects not only the exegetical approach of the man who was professor of New Testament at the free Faculty of theology in Lausanne and then at the University of the same city, but also his ideas on theological formation in a Christian context.
