From Pseudo-Denys’ Celestial Hierarchy to Henri Fayol’s Administration industrielle et générale
Abstract
This article shows the deep genealogy of the administration of hierarchies, starting with Pseudo-Dionysius’ Neoplatonist theology, moving on to the Gregorian reform and to its secularized version after the emergence of the modern state, finishing with an industrial outcome in Henry Fayol’s doctrine.
