Imagine the Earth with Michel Serres: Biogée to be Born
Abstract
Michel Serres is now recognized as one of the first philosophers who acknowledged, in the early 1990s, the anthropological rupture that constitutes what is now called the Anthropocene. His philosophy offers significant resources not only for thinking, but also for imagining this new terrestrial condition. This article focuses precisely on the imaginative dimensions of ecological crises at the phenomenological, epistemic, and pragmatic levels. Inspired by Serres, the article aims to show that philosophy can no longer neglect the world and that it must contribute to inventing new relations with nature-Biogée, notably by unleashing the critical and creative powers of human imagination.
