Abstract
Pastor of the Reformed Church of Nauroy (Aisne) during the First World War, in 1919 Paul Cheminée gave a series of parochial lectures on the war in Nauroy, as part of a campaign of donations to rebuild Nauroy in ruins. This text is a rare testimony to the German occupation during the Great War and to the little known episode of the deportation of civilians from northern villages in 1917.
