Bibliothèques port-royalistes :
la retraite et le combat

Anne-Claire Volongo

Abstract

For the Port-Royalists, the library is at the same time a place of meditation and combat, where the Messieurs of Port-Royal compose their books for the controversy or work on translations of the Bible. From a corpus of thirteen post-obit inventories, we will consider whether it is possible to define the characteristics of an augustinian library.
